Jammu bound employees granted 3-day special casual leave for voting | KNO

Jammu, Sep 15 (KNO): The Jammu and Kashmir government has granted three-day special casual leave in favour of employees of Jammu division posted in Kashmir Valley, to enable them to vote in the three notified phases of General Elections to Legislative Assembly. As per an order, a copy of which lies with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), sanction has hereby accorded to the grant of three (03) days Special Casual Leave in favour of Jammu based employees posted in Kashmir Valley (who are eligible to vote in their respective Assembly Constituencies falling under the following Districts of Jammu province) during the three (03) notified phases of General Elections to Legislative Assembly, Union territory of Jam mu & Kashmir, 2024. The first phase will be held on September 18 and employees of Doda, Ramban and Kishtwar district could avail special casual leave from September 17 to September 19, as per the order. Likewise, polling days for second Phase is September 25 and Jammu bound employees of Reasi, Rajouri and Poonch districts can avail the Special Casual Leave form September 24 to 26. Similarly, Jammu bound employees of Udhampur, Samba, Kathua and Jammu district can avail leave from September 30 to October 2 as polling is scheduled to be held on October 1. Earlier, Kashmiri migrant employees posted in Kashmir valley have also been granted leave to cast vote at special polling stations—(KNO)
